At Royal De Gruijter & Co., we believe that every move presents an opportunity to support local communities, give items a second life, and in doing so help reduce waste.

Through our partnership with Kledingbank Groene Hart, we help give unwanted clothing and household textiles a meaningful second life.

Sustainability is about more than environmental responsibility. It is also about supporting the communities in which we operate and helping people where we can.

At Royal De Gruijter & Co., sustainability extends beyond our clothing donation programme.

As an international moving and relocation specialist, we continuously look for ways to reduce our environmental impact through responsible transport planning, the reuse of packing materials, waste reduction initiatives, and sustainable moving practices.

By combining environmental responsibility with community support programmes, we aim to make every move a positive contribution to both people and the environment.

Royal De Gruijter & Co. proudly partners with Kledingbank Groene Hart in Alphen aan den Rijn.

This charitable organisation supports families and residents with limited financial resources by providing free clothing through its unique concept of a “fashion store without a cash register.”

As part of our CSR commitment, we collect and transport clothing donations on behalf of our customers. We also contribute in a practical way. Once a year, a number of our employees spend an afternoon volunteering at Kledingbank Groene Hart, for example by helping to sort donated clothing.

By working together, we support people in the local community, give clothing and textiles a second life, and help reduce waste.

Every year, large quantities of perfectly usable clothing and textiles are discarded.

By participating in this programme:

-

- Valuable resources remain in circulation

- Textile waste is reduced

- Local families receive practical support

- Together we contribute to a more sustainable society

A move can become more than a fresh start for you. It can also create a new beginning for someone else.
