  • We are so impressed with De Gruijter & Co.

    We made the very sad decision to sell our flat in Amsterdam due to Covid and then had to get our head around transporting our belongings back to Australia while not actually being able to get back to Amsterdam to supervise. (Fortunately we did have the help of a number of friends in Amsterdam, in particular the friend who bought our flat.)

    Nicole from De Gruijter estimated the cubic metres we needed to transport, quoted and answered all of our numerous questions efficiently and patiently, by phone and email. De Gruijter were more expensive than the rival quotes but were genuinely all-inclusive. Once we had signed the contract we were in the equally capable hands of Justyna who liaised with both our friend in Amsterdam and with us in Sydney. Before we knew it the people from De Gruijter had packed everything up (using their own packing materials) quickly and carefully and our belongings started the approximately 3 month voyage to Australia plus three weeks with Australian customs. Not a single item was broken or even damaged upon arrival in Australia. Justyna also liaised with us and with Grace Removals in Sydney whom they contracted to clear our goods through quarantine and customs and deliver our goods door to door in Sydney. We should also mention the wonderful Elvis from Grace Removals who completed the smooth transportation of our belongings back in Sydney.

    It was such a daunting task to transport our belongings that we hadn’t seen for over three years from Amsterdam to Sydney. Nicole and Justyna were there for us every step of the way. We didn’t have to do anything except complete some Australian customs and quarantine forms. De Gruijter arranged everything door to door. We are so grateful to De Gruijter and to Grace Removals in Sydney for such a wonderful service. The hard part began in Sydney when we had to find space for everything …
